After the last 4 swordfish trips with not even a single bit to show, last night we had pretty much non-stop action. We started fishing around 9:30 or so in 1500' of water... We went 2 for 7 on the swords. We took a release photo on catch #1 only to not be able to revive the fish. We measured the fish, it was legal, so we decided to keep it. No waste.
The second fish was much better. Hit at 5:00 AM as it was starting to get a little light. My father fought this fish for almost an hour and half. Weighed in at 101 pounds.
Thanks to Bobby and Brad for their hard work - our way out was sporty, to say the least.
