The seas were NOT 2'-3' at the ledge.. .It was more like 4'-6'. Nonetheless, we started swordfishing in 1,500 ft of water and within 5 minutes, we had our first fish on! Fought the fish for 15 minutes and it took a jump at the back of the boat and out comes the hook (appeared to be a small fish)... We missed another run and never saw it at all.

Just before the sun came up we had a fish take our 300' bait while we were in 1,400 ft of water (just as my father predicted)... Go figure, turned out to be a wahoo... and a nice one!
