Caught 2 out of 9 wahoo on the break. A little bumpy and overcast, but a fun day offshore. You'll see the 'Victory' sign in many of the photos due to the Northeast Florida Offshore Blitz.

I saw your swordfishing short take along with the photos-unreal. I grew up on Heckscher Dr. and used to fish with Fred Morrow on the Lady Yvonne. I'm planning a trip to Islamorada and I've rented a 27CC with twin 150's. I'm gonna try Floyd's wall for Broadbills. Any suggestions would be great. All the guides are booked for the Dolphin run so I'm gonna try on my own . I've got 4 50tw's,and rigs although there the type I used 20 years ago . 200lb mono , 12/0 J hooks and Cyalumes.Even if I blank on my trip I will have tried.I'm sure you have plenty of people wanting to go but if you ever have a slot I'd love to go.
Thank you,
Brian Davis

Thank you for your reply. I'll take you up on your tips for even as you claim far from the expert your catches are proof otherwise. I have a photo I would like to send you but I'm not sure if I can import it to your website. It is a photo of swordfishing off Jax and eventually Southport NC on the Karen Anne. I was 19 at the time and the crew was myself , Rory Webb ( his mom is who Bunny's Webb is named after)Mike Eddy,(caught 5 in one night on a black 9/0)and Danny Wright (Peter Wright's Brother-not the Aussie, the one in South Florida ).We were all young then ,right out of high school and all loved to fish and working on a longliner was our chance to billfish and make some bucks. Back then the resource was never questioned...what ignorance. Regardless I think you will be shocked by the size and number.I've shared the photo with very few people.I'm glad that the numbers are on the increase as I have a 5 year old son who loves to fish ( and eat them) but we kieep only what we eat.I hope he will enjoy the return of the broadbill as they are unlike anything that swims. If you have an email address I will send it to you.Again ,thank you for your new millenium pointers.Brian
